Retreats

The Kindom Journey and Doing God’s Loving in the World are offered in alternate summers. Each begins on a Thursday with a light supper at 7:00, and ends with lunch on Sunday at noon. Doing God’s Loving in the World also includes three preparatory classes, held in Austin over a few weeks before the event. Meals are vegetarian, in a commitment to living lightly on the earth.

The Kindom Journey: A Community Holistic, Immersion Retreat
The word Kin-dom describes friendship and kinship that includes the earth and all living beings. This is Peace.

In this event, you are invited to explore spiritual longings and experience fresh possibilities in community. Come and risk being opened to the belovedness of the Kindom of God in the dance together of core elements: scripture, theology, call, spiritual practice, liturgy, non-violence, beauty, authentic community, and body-mind-spirit.

Doing God’s Loving in the World: A Retreat on Call
Living our lives out of a sense of call is a core value of St Hildegard’s Community. Our Vision supports the “deep listening for the peace of God’s dream which calls forth initiative and the releasing of unique gifts and creativity in community.”

This retreat creates space and guidance for an exploration of personal call. Readings, assignments and sharing in preparatory classes will help ensure a retreat that is fruitful and liberating for our unique journeys, whether you are beginning something new or tending a long-established vocation.
